Fellow Hunters:
We are sending you this newsletter to thank you for entering our annual Big Buck Contest and forward you the results. We have donated $500.00 to the CFOS Christmas fund and $500.00 to the Salvation Army food bank. The balance of the money will be used for upgrades at our gun club.
Ray Wardrop scored 109 racks this year. Thanks to Ray for his time and efforts.
The draw prizewinner was Raymond Bumstead of Owen Sound. Raymond won the .270 Tikka stainless rifle from Lake Huron Rod, Gun and Marine.
Bill Lane from Arthur took the biggest buck with a score of 175 7/8”. Bill chose the Excalibur Vixen Cross bow from Watson’s Tackle Shop.
Second place went to Dave Blair of Kemble. His buck scored 149 6/8”. Dave chose the Traditions black powder gun from G.A.D. Products.
Third place went to Ken Fraser from Orillia. His buck scored 148 2/8”. Ken won the 50 caliber CVA black powder gun from Beckett’s Shooting Supplies. Ken shot his buck with a muzzleloader so he also won the tree stand for the biggest buck with a muzzleloader.
All entries below the top 3 went into a hat for the hidden score prize. The winner was John Walker. John buck scored 59 6/8”. John won the Bushnell Banner scope.

We are considering doing away with the annual review letter to all the entrants. Saving the printing and mailing costs would allow us to have more prizes next year. The results would be posted on our website. Check next year’s posters for more details.
